Alumni Foundation Earns 2026 Platinum Seal of Transparency from Candid
Platinum Seal recognizes the highest level of nonprofit transparency and accountability
Candid’s Platinum Seal recognizes nonprofit organizations that provide comprehensive, detailed information about their finances, leadership, demographics, programs, strategic goals, and outcomes. Only a small percentage of the 1.8 million nonprofits listed on Candid achieve this top-tier distinction. “We are incredibly proud to receive Candid’s Platinum Seal of Transparency,” said Courtney J. Ulrich ’90, Executive Director of the Brooklyn Tech Alumni Foundation.
This recognition affirms our commitment to maintaining the highest standards of financial stewardship and operational clarity. We strive to ensure that every dollar entrusted to us directly supports Brooklyn Tech and its students, strengthening our mission to empower future generations of Technites.”

Candid — formed in 2019 through the merger of GuideStar and Foundation Center — is the world’s leading source of nonprofit information. Its transparency seals help donors and stakeholders make informed decisions, fostering trust and encouraging philanthropic engagement across the nonprofit sector.
By achieving the Platinum Seal, the Brooklyn Tech Alumni Foundation reinforces its dedication to responsible governance, measurable impact, and mission-driven programming that benefits the entire Brooklyn Tech community. The Platinum level signals that the Foundation not only shares financial data but also communicates strategic objectives and tracks outcomes — demonstrating both accountability and effectiveness.
“We remain committed to fostering a culture of transparency, innovation, and excellence,” added Ulrich. “As we celebrate this milestone, we look forward to continuing our work in service of Brooklyn Tech, its students, and the extraordinary alumni network that makes our community so strong.”
