Alumni Connect and Inspire
at Career Day 2025
On Friday, November 7, 2025, Brooklyn Tech buzzed with energy as 145 alumni, parents, and other professionals stepped into the classroom to share their career stories and advice with current students. Across 189 classes and sections, led by 80 teachers representing the school’s 18 majors, alumni engaged thousands of today's Technites in lively discussions spanning industries from aerospace to entrepreneurship.
This year’s Career Day reached across borders, with alumni joining from Europe, Canada, and 16 U.S. states, a powerful reflection of the Brooklyn Tech network’s global reach. “Career Day is always one of the most rewarding days of the year,” said Michelle Corley, Director of Alumni Engagement, who organized and led the event. “Seeing alumni from around the world return to share their stories shows students that a Brooklyn Tech education can take you anywhere.”
New this year was an innovative Career Conversations program held in the library, where students of all grade levels met one-on-one with alumni representing a wide range of professions—from law, finance, and media to software engineering, data science, medical science, aerospace, and civil engineering. These intimate discussions gave students the chance to explore fields of interest in greater depth and build meaningful connections with professionals eager to mentor the next generation.
“Career Day captures the best of what it means to be a Technite, bringing so many alumni back to share their journeys with today’s students...The exchange between alumni and students creates a ripple effect of inspiration that extends far beyond one day.”
Courtney J. Ulrich ’90
The day concluded with an afterschool C-Suite Panel Discussion in the auditorium, featuring distinguished alumni Robert Bright ’78, CEO, Talson Solutions; Gaarth Naar ’90, CEO, Avatar Tech and Avataris, LLC; Zevilla Preston Jackson ’81, RA, Principal, jpDesign; and Frank Robertazzi, CFP, CPFA, CRPV, Senior Vice President, Wealth Management Advisor, Merrill Lynch. The panel was expertly moderated by students Gilbert Jiang ’26, Piu Banik ’27, and Lucas Lin ’27, who guided a lively conversation about leadership, innovation, and navigating today’s professional landscape.
The Brooklyn Tech Alumni Foundation extends heartfelt thanks to Talson Solutions and Dr. Mathew Mandery ’61, whose generous sponsorship helped make Career Day 2025 possible.
