Leo J. Wisniewski
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Leo J. Wisniewski on May 7, 2024, at the age of 88. Leo was a cherished retired technical drawing and drafting teacher at Brooklyn Tech.
Throughout his career, Leo's passion for industrial engineering shone as he designed warehouses for renowned corporations. Transitioning seamlessly into education, Leo dedicated 18 years to molding young minds at Brooklyn Tech, from 1982 to 2000. His expertise in Computer-Aided Design (C.A.D.) and unwavering commitment to excellence earned him the Teacher of the Year Award.
Leo's Technical Drawing class was legendary — cited in yearbooks as one of the "Top 10 Toughest Classes at Tech," a testament to his dedication to imparting knowledge and shaping futures.
A funeral service was held Saturday, May 11, 2024 at Saint Stanislaus Polish National Catholic Church, 529 E Locust Street, Scranton, PA, followed by interment at St. Stanislaus Polish National Catholic Cemetery.
