Michael (Mike) Weiss

After graduating from the College Prep Course, I attended Brooklyn College (the only college I could afford) and graduated with a B.S. in Physics. Looking for a job, it was suggested to me that I teach. I went to my alma mater, Brooklyn Tech, and they welcomed me, beginning a career that spanned 24 years, including Teaching, Guidance and being appointed Assistant Principal. While at Tech, together with Principal Matt Mandery ’61, we founded the Alumni Foundation and we have stayed with it ever since, even though my career evolved in others directions. So, in some sense I have never graduated from Tech. It has been a constant in my life since, I first took the entrance exam, in the auditorium.

I would love to hear the stories of my classmates. There are so many good ones. Hopefully, you will be able to join us, either in person or virtually, during the coming Centennial Year, at one of the events we are planning to celebrate, commemorate and reconnect in 2022. We will keep you “in the loop” as these opportunities take shape.
