Last year, we had 480 recent graduates register for Recent Alumni Day, visiting Junior and Senior major courses throughout the day.

For past events, teachers have used various formats including:  

• “Speed Dating” – Splitting returning alums into small groups; rotating around the room at 10-minute intervals
• Panel Discussions – Small groups of alumni answered a series of questions
• Classroom Presentations – Individual alumni or pairs of alumni present on their college experiences, followed by a Q&A  

Alums will be given suggested talking points. 

In addition to in-class activities, the library will be used during lunch hours, when students will be able to speak directly with alumni about a range of popular colleges.

Schedule for the Day

Session I
Check in: 8 a.m. (starting with light breakfast and info session)

Classroom Sessions: Periods 2 through 6

Session II

Check in: 11:00 a.m. (starting with light brunch and info session)

Classroom Sessions: Periods 7 through 10

Faculty and Alumni Dessert Reception: 3:45 p.m. in the Library (open to all participants from Sessions I and II)

All participants must enter through the Visitors’ Entrance at the corner of Dekalb Avenue and South Elliott Place. Valid ID Required. You must be registered to participate. No walk-ins permitted.
