Recent Alumni Day 2026:
Technites Return to Inspire the Next Generation
Recent Alumni Day 2026
Technites Return to Inspire the Next Generation
Among the institutions with the highest representation were Stony Brook University and Binghamton University, alongside strong contingents from CUNY campuses, Cornell, and NYU. The Ivy League was well represented with alumni from Columbia, Harvard, Yale, the University of Pennsylvania, Brown, and Princeton, while leading STEM institutions such as MIT, Cooper Union, RIT, and NJIT also sent back numerous Technites.
Together, these returning alumni volunteers engaged with Brooklyn Tech juniors and seniors across the school’s eighteen majors, participating in 188 classroom sessions hosted by eighty faculty members. In classrooms throughout the building, students heard firsthand accounts of college life, career exploration, academic challenges, and professional growth from alumni who had only recently stood in their place.
The event was made possible in large part through the generous support of PSEG Long Island, the 2026 Gold Sponsor of Recent Alumni Day. Veronica Isaac ’91, Senior Manager of Customer and Community Partnerships at PSEG Long Island, addressed the alumni volunteers and shared information about internship and professional development opportunities available through the company, reinforcing the bridge between education and industry.
Alumni were formally welcomed back by David Lee ’78, President of the Alumni Foundation Board of Directors; Principal David Newman; Courtney J. Ulrich ’90, Executive Director of the Brooklyn Tech Alumni Foundation; and Michelle Corley, Director of Alumni Engagement and Inclusion of the Alumni Foundation.
“Recent Alumni Day represents the very best of what our community stands for — giving back, lifting each other up, and creating pathways of opportunity. When our newest graduates return to Tech, they bring not only knowledge and experience, but hope, confidence, and inspiration for the students who are just beginning their own journeys.”

“What makes this day so powerful is the authenticity of the connections,” added Michelle Corley. “Our alumni remember exactly what it feels like to sit in those classrooms, to face those choices, and to dream about the future. Their presence shows our students that those dreams are achievable and that they don’t walk that path alone.”
This year also introduced an exciting new addition: a pop-up version of the Brooklyn Tech online alumni store, allowing attendees to purchase Technite apparel and merchandise on site. The store — available year-round at bklyntechpride.com — added an energetic and celebratory atmosphere to the day.
The day concluded with a dessert reception in the library, providing the opportunity for recent graduates to reconnect with friends and former classmates as well as cherished faculty members.
Reflecting on the Day
More than a higher education-focused program, Recent Alumni Day strengthens the fabric of the Technite community, fostering mentorship, pride, and a shared commitment to future generations. Each conversation, classroom visit, and connection helps students envision what lies ahead and understand the many paths available to them.
Looking Forward
Recent Alumni Day is a key way that the Brooklyn Tech Alumni Foundation continues to connect alumni with their alma mater and cultivate a culture of lifelong engagement. The Foundation now turns its attention to its next major community event: Homecoming 2026, taking place on Saturday, April 25. Tickets are now available here.
Together, these programs ensure that the spirit of Brooklyn Tech, and its legacy of academic excellence, transformational opportunity, and sustained community, continues to thrive for generations of Technites to come.
